Trump: No American Life Should be Lost in Name of Open Borders

Donald Trump today said no American life should be lost in the name of open borders in a speech delivered to the Remembrance Project. Americans are being killed in crimes committed by illegal immigrants in so-called “sanctuary cities,” by visa over-stayers, or by those deported but never actually sent back.

“The most fundamental duty of government is to protect American lives. Anyone who fails to understand this is not fit to hold public office,” Trump said.

A five-time deportee was arrested in Austin for nearly a dozen sexual assaults. An illegal immigrant killed a Master Deputy in Kansas and has a prior arrest for DUI. Two correctional officers were shot by a deportee who had been convicted of child rape.

“When Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State, the matter of this country refusing to take back their deported citizens came before Hillary Clinton’s desk. But she failed to take forceful action, and ignored the federal law requiring her to suspend visas to countries that don’t take back their citizens.”

He cited a Boston Globe report which said between 2008 and 2014, 13,000 criminal aliens who had been deported were released to our streets, because their home countries refused to take them back. Hillary Clinton did nothing to stop it.

Clinton “will never meet with you. She will never hear your stories. She will never share in your pain. She will only meet with the donors and the special interests and the open border advocates.”

The Clinton plan includes: “total amnesty in the first 100 days, which means Obamacare, Social Security and Medicare for illegal immigrants. Her plan calls for catch-and-release on the border. Sanctuary Cities. Ignoring visa overstays. Closing detention centers. And a virtual end to immigration enforcement in the United States of America.” Like Obama, if she does not get her way, Clinton plans to end-run around Congress and implement amnesty by executive order.

“Hillary Clinton is the first person to ever run for the Presidency of a country effectively proposing to abolish the borders around that country,” he said.

Trump invited families of those killed by illegals to speak and said, “come November, your long awaited day of justice will finally arrive.”
